Spring is an exciting time, unfortunately, springtime also means
thunderstorms, basement floods, high winds, tornados, golf ball
sized hail, and fires.
Whether a storm causes a flood, or hail rains down, Latter Rain
Construction Co is the primary source of protection for your
home and all of its contents. Often times, a house can be severely
damaged and its integrity compromised without visual evidence.
Call Latter Rain Construction Co. for a no cost, no obligation
inspection and one of our highly trained representatives will
let you know if you have a problem that needs to be addressed.
Your representative will lead you through the claims process
from start to finish. We can help make the call, set up an inspection
with your insurance company's adjuster, meet with them on your
behalf to insure a fair settlement and then complete the work
for the money allowed by your carrier. This guarantees a low
stress, hassle free transaction that ends with top notch workmanship
and a great warranty from a company you trust.
Maybe you have already filed a claim, and your adjuster either
denied it or only paid for a partial repair. Do not let this
happen to you! Damage is usually very consistent by area. Once the settlement is made and the work is done, you will be
able to rest assured that you were treated fairly by your carrier
and that Latter Rain Construction Co has done top quality work
with a warranty.

Most people don't even realize they have had hail damage to their
roof, siding, or fascia materials. The impact of hail damage
can loosen, fracture or remove granules from your asphalt shingles,
Hail can leave tiny to large pits in your siding and fascia
as well. The granules protect the asphalt from sunlight and
Ultra Violet Light (U.V.). The roofing asphalt will deteriorate
very quickly once it has had hail impacts and is exposed to
the sun. This is the reason hail damaged shingles will prematurely
fail. Hail damaged roofs may or may not show up immediately
as visual damage to the inexperienced observer. |

Roofing materials are subject to damage from strong winds and flying
debris. Generally, roofs are not designed to withstand winds
of tornado intensity. However, roofs may also be damaged by
winds of moderate intensity. The primary cause of wind damage
is from the partial vacuum created by wind blowing over the
edge of the roof. Nature tries to neutralize the low-pressure
area by bringing in air from a higher pressure area, usually
from inside the building. This air pushes up on the bottom
side of the roof assembly and, over time, loosens fasteners
and breaks the adhesion making the roof susceptible to damage
from the next moderate or strong wind. |

In the unfortunate event that you experience a fire in your home,
you should call Latter Rain Construction Co. It is important
that the cleanup begins as soon as possible. Depending on the
severity of the fire, the restoration of your home and contents
may require only a few days of detailed on-site cleaning. A
more severe fire may need several months of cleaning and repair
to the structure. |
|
Smoke residues are acidic in nature and with time they will cause
surfaces to corrode and stain permanently. Smoke residues that
were pressurized during the fire will permeate cracks and crevices
of building materials and deposit odor-causing residues. We
offer many smoke-related services such as furniture restoration,
odor removal, professional garment cleaning, and upholstery
cleaning. |

Each year, one out of every five homes has water damage to some
degree. The majority of these water damages are a result of some
type of plumbing failure. Water damage is progressive and items
that could be restored or dealt with within the first 48 hours
of the water damage may not be restored if emergency response is
delayed. Although you might be tempted to use a shop vacuum or
call a company that only has equipment to dry carpet, you should
consider that water will wick up walls and travel under base molding
and sill plates. It will penetrate through floor coverings into
sub-floors, even causing water damage in rooms below. In addition,
if humidity inside the structure is not controlled, items that
were not damaged from the original water damage could be damaged
as a result of absorbing moisture from the air. Structures that
are not dried out quickly and properly can become a food source
for mold growth. |
